Sprint 3: The mother of all tutorials - BrainStore goes video, 24 July - 9am - noon

With Kristian Austin

Kris Austin, BrainStore partner and co-founcer of Zcollective is joining us from Buffalo and will work with us on the mother of all BrainStore tutorials. The video tutorial on how to create tutorials.

Situation

So many stories, so many insights so little sharing within the BrainStore network and with customers.

Purpose

Delight customers and have a good time doing so.

Goals

Enable BrainStore partners to create appealing videos (tutorials and documentation of processes)

Goal 1: Video tutorial "how to do a BrainStore video tutorial" (with Brains)
Goal 2: Resources folder for BrainStore videos with template, clipart, sniplets, soundbites etc.
Goal 3: Tutorial: how to document a process.

Interesting aspects could be

  • Preparation
  • How to shoot (does and dont's with examples)
  • Organizing your files
  • Simple tools
  • Working with footage
  • Working with images
  • Working with titles
  • Working with sound (footage sound, other sound sources)
  • Specials: timelapes, slow-motion, simple animations, jingles, green screens, screen capture (for software tutorials)
  • Publishing contents e.g via Vimeo and BrainStore's Sites
  • Joyfully breaking rules

Expected results

Before Kris arrives we have a rough idea on how we want to structure the project

After Kris heads back home we have

a) The tutorials " how to do a BrainStore tutorial (English)
b) A resource folder for BrainStore videos (English)
c) A tutorial how to document a process (English)

BrainStore is ready to pay for Kris' travel an accommodation
BrainStore is happy to make available time resources during the week
BrainStore is happy to have two teenagers participate, who do the tutorials
